Phillips attends KKM Challenge at Sweet Springs

Waylon Phillips defended his home turf over the weekend as the Keith Kunz Motorsports Challenge rolled into Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex in Missouri.

Taking on a 55-car field in the Non-Wing Micro division, Phillips advanced to Friday’s opener by finishing fourth in both his heat and qualifier. He started 14th in the 30-lap feature and ultimately finished 16th after slipping back two positions.

On Saturday, Phillips came up just short of transferring to the finale, finishing sixth in his B Feature.
