Waylon Phillips doubles up at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex
The annual Small Town Throwdown brought 15-year-old Waylon Phillips to Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex (Mo.) over the weekend, where he pulled double duty during the Fourth of July doubleheader.
Phillips delivered a dominant performance in the Stock Non-Wing division, sweeping the weekend with back-to-back victories—bringing his 2025 win total to four.
His weekend in the Outlaw Non-Wing Micro division didn’t go as planned, as he competed with a stock motor against the Outlaw field. He retired from Friday’s feature on lap 19 and ultimately scratched from Saturday’s main event.
