Phillips second best in Valley WOW Sprints start
Waylon Phillips put it all on the line Saturday night at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri, and when the dust finally settled, the Blue Springs, Missouri, ace was second best, finishing just behind Laney Moore in the WOW Sprints 25-lap main event. Phillips, who has made nearly a handful of starts since his season commenced in late March, activated his evening at Valley with a podium in his respective heat race - he finished third from fourth on the grid.
Impressive enough, Phillips' main event effort commenced from row four, climbing ahead six spots by feature's end, all in his season's first appearance at Valley.
If all goes according to plan, Waylon Phillips will continue his 2026 season with a visit to US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri, on Friday, May 8.
